The BRK 'Zero Waste' program is a program by which you can purchase a new detector, and return your old detector to a local depot. This program helps divert over 300,000 pounds of waste from Canadian landfills. The 70160TCA is a photoelectric technology smoke detector which is designed to detect smoke entering it's optical chamber and is generally less prone to false alarms from kitchen and bathroom areas. It tends to be more reactive to smoldering fires. This detector features a single quick silence and test button and can be interconnected with other 120V BRK smoke and CO detectors so all units will sound when one is triggered. The latching feature built in to this smoke detector lets the owner or fire department quickly determine which detector was triggered in the case where multiple detectors are sounding. The kit includes: Smoke detector, mounting bracket, wiring harness and instructions.
